The concept has experienced many changes since then to include large platforms such as handheld game consoles, TV games and other multimedia devices. Famicon was launched in E.E.U.U. in the form of entertainment system from Nintendo (NES) in 1985 and was a big success. With the launch of the Sega Mega Drive in Japan on October 29, 1988, the fourth generation of gadgets in the game was introduced.
